TDS creates carrier risk analysis report for insurance underwriters

Transportation Data Source, or otherwise known as TDS, has created TDS Reports, a platform that enables insurance underwriters to perform a detailed risk analysis of motor carriers. It is available for immediate use.

TDS Reports was born from TDS’ motor carrier monitoring database. The company says the new product is blazing a path in the risk analysis field by ensuring underwriters receive the most relevant, up-to-date, and inclusive data in an easy-to-use and customizable format.

Features of the service include full motor carrier details such as authority types and status, time in business, operating radius and lanes traveled, fleet size, including full VIN, year, make and model of inspected equipment, inspection records, main address and contact information.

Users can also see motor carriers’ BASIC’s and ISS scores, in-depth service violations of drivers and their equipment, their current and past safety ratings, shippers and commodities carried, and many more details. The platform and all data can be customized and filtered so underwriters only see exactly what they want to see.

TDS Reports allows all the information to be produced in either a PDF or spreadsheet.

“Quality reporting created within seconds in an easy-to-use format is priceless in this industry,” said Lyn Simon, president of TDS Reports. “Current options available to underwriters today can take hours to evaluate. Not having all the details or having out-of-date information can cost an insurance company huge sums of money and can completely ruin an underwriter’s credibility.”

AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS BOOST SAFETY, EFFICIENCY AND UNDERWRITING IN THE TRANSPORTATION SECTOR

A tool exists that helps make it easier for agents, brokers, program administrators, and underwriters as they’re looking to properly and adequately insure trucking firms. “When it comes to thoroughly analyzing the risk of a motor carrier, many data points need to be covered,” says Lyn Simon, president of TDS Reports. “As agents and brokers know, gathering all this data and covering the essential pieces can be very time consuming and frustrating.”

TDS Reports brings all the data together under one system. “We offer our customers the ability to select from multiple data points and choose those that matter most to them,” Simon explains. “This saves time they would otherwise have to spend looking through unwanted information. In addition, it saves money, since they can make quicker and better decisions, and it saves frustration from having to hunt for data over many different sources.
